| Specialized continuous work in education in the field of acting and directing in contemporary theatre
The School of Contemporary Theatre presents introducing of participants to principles of work of Theatre Laboratory Plavo pozoriste, but as well to some codification of contemporary theatre in general, in theoretical and practical sense. Just like the whole work of Plavo pozoriste, the School of Contemporary Theatre is based on experiences born in research processes and laboratory work of reformers of contemporary theatre of XX century – Constantin Stanislavsky, Antonin Artaud, Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba and Odin teatret, as well as Italian director Massimo Giannetti.
The School of Contemporary Theatre has an aim to transmit to young people professional theatre knowledge through specialized continuous work in education in the field of acting and directing in contemporary theatre. During the working process we want to share experiences in work in the field of mind and technique, through research process and creative work, to show to participants our vision of theatre as a place of self research, place of communication, the space of open mind where some important things about the world that surrounds us can be said.
The School of Contemporary Theatre is open for people who are engaged in theatre and want to spread their knowledge about contemporary theatre, as well as for people who don't make theatre professionally, but want to be introduced to contemporary theatre through specific work of Plavo pozorište.
